Indiana, Illinois Heifers Take Top Honors in ROV Angus Show

HARRISBURG – SSF Nellie Girl 3027, the winner of the March junior yearling heifer class, exhibited and owned by Kallie Anne Knott of Laotto, Ind., earned Grand Champion Female honors in the Roll of Victory Angus Show today at the 2018 Keystone International Livestock Expo in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG – Four Pennsylvania students were named Outstanding 4-H and FFA Youth during the 62nd Annual Keystone International Livestock Expo, held in Harrisburg on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Nominated by their county Penn State Extension educators and agricultural education teachers, respectively, each honoree excels in agricultural activities and serves as a model member of their respective organizations.

Planting the Seed: Farm City Day Gives More Than 1,500 Elementary Students Hands-on Experience with Agriculture Careers

Harrisburg, PA – Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding joined more than 1,500 mid-state elementary students during Farm City Day at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. During the event, students got an up-close experience with 21st century agriculture careers from crop and soil research using drones to animal nutrition and veterinary medicine.

Wether Dams Kick Off 2018 Keystone International Livestock Expo

Harrisburg, PA - As part of the Keystone International Livestock Exposition’s (KILE) expanded first weekend events, more than 50 exhibitors from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia showed more than 200 goats in nationally-accredited open and junior shows. KILE’s open wether dam show kicked off the weekend on Friday September 28.

Cheviot Ewe and Southdown Ram Win Junior Show Supremes at 2017 KILE

Christopher Pinckney of Auburn, N.Y. exhibited the Cheviot named Supreme Champion Ewe, while Adrianna Wendland of Lonsdale, Minn. showed the Southdown named Supreme Champion Ram during the Junior Breeding Sheep Show, Sunday, October 8, during the 2016 Keystone International Livestock Exposition at the Pennsylvania Farm Show and Expo Center.

Maine’s Tripp Crest Tops Field in Six Horse Hitch Series Show

Harrisburg – There was no shortage of horsepower in the Equine Arena Saturday evening, Oct. 7, as the North American Six Horse Hitch Classic Series (NASHHCS) held a national championship qualifying points show at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
